What is Plus Insight?
This project involved creating a dashboard that visually represented customer behavior data, allowing retail managers to make informed decisions. The primary goal was to present complex behavioral data in a clear and intuitive manner.
Responsibility
As a UI designer, I was responsible for visualizing complex data in an easily understandable way and systematically designing the dashboard’s user interface. Additionally, I componentized chart designs, developed a cohesive design system, and ensured consistency while enabling rapid iteration and updates.
High-Fidelity 17 Report Pages
I led the UI design of 17 report pages and created high-quality high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring they were ready for implementation by the development team. Throughout the process, I collaborated closely with front-end developers and planners to address both technical constraints and user needs, contributing to the successful delivery of the final product.
36 Reusable Chart Modules
I designed 36 custom charts (e.g., bar charts, pie charts, heatmaps) to effectively display data. These charts were componentized for reusability, supporting visual consistency across the entire dashboard and enhancing the workflow for other designers.
Efficient Design System
I created reusable UI components, including buttons, cards, and charts, to streamline the design process. Working with developers, I utilized tools like Storybook and Chart.js to define visual styles such as color, typography, and spacing. This approach significantly improved efficiency for future updates and development cycles.
Reflection
Working on the Plus Insight dashboard was a rewarding experience that challenged me to think critically about how to present complex AI-driven data in a way that was both user-friendly and actionable.
